Star Wars Episode VII - The Force Awakens

In 2014 I worked as a sculptor in the Creature FX Department at Pinewood Studios for the new Star Wars film currently in post production.

Obviously I'm not allowed to show you anything yet so I'm afraid you'll have to come back in a year or so! In the meantime have a trailer & then go & check out the rest of my stuff on here :)

Making Film Productions Hong Kong Company Logo

I was commissioned by the Hong Kong film company "Making Film Productions" to produce two wall plaques of their company logo. I also was asked to design a background for the logo to sit on. They wanted the final plaques to look like ancient bronze artifacts. This is the process from start to finish.................

So, with the sculpture approved by the client in Hong Kong it was now time to mould it & cast it in resin with bronze filler.............

With the sculpture reproduced in resin it was then waxed & buffed to start bringing out the bronze of the filler powder......

Verdigris & aging effects were slowly added..........

And then the whole thing was given good battering to lose all the sharp edges & add more weathering, texturing & aging to make it look truly ancient....

And obviously the whole process was done twice as they wanted two....

Simon Bisley's Paradise Lost

Heavily inspired by the artist Simon Bisley's Paradise Lost I set about rendering his 2d work into 3 dimensions & adding my own touch to create a base.......

The Butcher

Inspired by a painting by the artist Brom, this is my interpretation of his rendition of the character from Diablo.
